TeleHealth
Family Therapy Associates was certified by the state of Wisconsin in 2019 to perform telehealth services. We utilize a secure, HIPAA compliant software to protect your confidentiality during telehealth appointments. All of our therapists are trained to offer therapy services through telehealth.
Telehealth appointments can be accessed through a secure link emailed prior to the appointment. You may use a smartphone, tablet, or computer for your appointment. If you do not have access to the internet, some insurances also allow services to occur by phone. In the rare instance you have a technical difficulty during the session, your therapist will call you to continue the session by phone.
Telehealth services have a wide range of benefits, including increasing access to quality mental health services in rural areas or for those who can’t easily leave home due to illness, mobility limitations, or mental health conditions.
Sessions are approximately 50 minutes in length. Most insurance policies now cover telehealth for mental health services. A discounted cash rate is available if paid on the same day of service. Most major credit cards are accepted.
Please note that, due to state licensing laws, this service through Family Therapy Associates is available only to people physically located in the state of Wisconsin or in some cases, Minnesota. This service is not appropriate for someone who is dealing with active suicidal thoughts. For needs such as this, please contact local emergency services if there is imminent risk or schedule an in-office appointment for further assessment and recommendations.
These are challenging times for everyone. We are here to support. Schedule a telehealth appointment today.
