Home-Based Parenting Intervention
This service is directed to parents of struggling youth who are at-risk of being placed outside of their home or who are already in placement and vulnerable to decompensation upon return. This type of in-home therapy is not direct mental health treatment, but rather an approach utilizing systemic interventions, parenting education and behavior modification techniques that encourage structure, predictability and necessary safety for at-risk youth to be successful. This service may be appropriate when other services have been tried but have not yielded a desired result and/or a family is willing but unable to attend in-office appointments. Although this service is not typically covered by insurance, additional payment options may be available. Vertical Divider

These services may be available through county funding or may be covered by some insurances including Medical Assistance. Please note that intensive in-home therapy is not a covered service for any autism spectrum diagnosis or developmental disability diagnosis through Medicaid. |
