Our StoryFamily Therapy Associates began in a coffee shop, as two therapists discussed their shared vision of providing high quality mental health services along with having a supportive, healthy work environment. In 2010, Family Therapy Associates was founded on this vision and has grown to a multidisciplinary team of dedicated mental health providers who are passionate about collaborating with their community in order to provide the highest standard of counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Family Therapy Associates has allowed the opportunity for something more for both those seeking mental health services and those providing these services in western Wisconsin. The ability for us to serve so many clients is built on the efforts of our team and over the years, we have had a significant impact on the mental health needs of many individuals and families in our communities and schools. Our dedication remains steadfast to providing excellence in client care and in cultivating a healthy work environment. Our focus continues to remain on these two important values of our mission. |
Through the pandemic, we adapted to very adverse circumstances. We missed the energy of being in a room together with a group of colleagues and having the opportunity to share with them and learn from each other. It has been refreshing to reconnect and to increase a focus on connection and value of one another. In a field that is not always easy and sometimes can be painful holding the hurt of others, supporting one another as a team is critical to establishing a healthy work environment. We also go through our own personal trials, struggles, and losses in life that can have a significant impact on our wellbeing. As a company, we truly want to continue to learn and grow in how we can best support our employees and how we can best support one another as a team. In actively working to support all staff in preventing or coping with compassion fatigue and burnout, we remain steadfast to creating and maintaining a culture of wellness and personal resilience. This remains a top priority as we continue our work in these areas. When I say I want people to love their job here, I truly mean it. Our work with our clients is a privilege that truly can make a difference in someone's life. It is my hope that we continue to learn and grow in the professional fulfillment of each of our team members while increasing access to quality mental health services within our communities. |
