Areas of Focus: Children, Adolescents, & Adults I have experience working with children and adolescents who have been affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, difficulty managing emotions and low self-esteem. My passion lies with helping children and adolescents navigate through the challenges that they may be facing. Additional interests include helping children and adolescents who have been impacted by trauma, as well as those who may be struggling with peer or family changes. This includes working with children and adolescents in the foster care system and other county services. As a school-based provider, I believe that it is important for children and adolescents to have as few disruptions as possible. I strive to work with children during the school day, in their school so they will not miss important instruction time. I currently provide services in the Rice Lake and Cameron School Districts. Areas of Focus: Children, Adolescents, & Adults Establishing a collaborative working relationship with clients to help them achieve their therapeutic goals in a safe non judgmental atmosphere is my number one priority. I find assisting my clients to find their own path and achieve post traumatic growth is not only possible but also rewarding. My Christian faith informs who I am and how I relate to the world, and I seek to honor my clients' right to decide whether to integrate a faith informed approach in our work. I have trained to work with individuals of all ages and have experience working with adolescents, college age, and older adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal relationship skills, life transitions and substance use. I have experience integrating expressive arts and play therapy in sessions. My special interests include domestic violence, betrayal trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions due to aging, divorce, empty nests, reentry to college or the workforce. I am under the supervision of Amanda Koteras, MA, LPC. |
Jessica (Jessie) Love, MS, LPC-IT
Areas of Focus: Adolescents (age 11+) & Adults As humans, we all experience something that may be difficult to deal with alone, though as we may try. Therefore, it is my goal to create an environment where these experiences can be shared, processed, and reimagined as strength for the present and future, whatever that may mean for the client. It is imperative that a strong, authentic therapeutic relationship is founded in order to build and maintain trust (something I think many people find in short supply in their lives at times), creating a connection where healing and growth begins. I have experience working with drug and alcohol addiction in both adolescents and adults, which is my passion. It was my clients that inspired me to learn more and do better so I can provide more insights on other mental health topics that often go hand in hand with substance use. Topics such as anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, conduct disorders, family mental health/addiction issues that may have molded parts of who we are today, but that we may not want to play as big a role in our future. Join me in this journey! I am under the supervision of Amanda Koteras, MA, LPC. |
