The Neurosequential Approach has three key components – training/capacity building, assessment and then, the specific recommendations for the selection and sequencing of therapeutic, educational and enrichment activities that match the needs and strengths of the individual.
This clinical approach helps professionals determine the strengths and vulnerabilities of children and helps them create individualized intervention, enrichment, and educational plans to match each child’s unique needs. The goal is to find a set of therapeutic activities that meet the child’s current needs in various domains of functioning (i.e. social, emotional, cognitive, and physical). |

Kylie Godfrey, MSW, LCSW Telehealth Lead Areas of Focus: Children, Teens & Adults My focus in the therapy space is to create a trusting therapeutic relationship where I can fully understand an individual’s needs and their story so we can work to create the changes they want in their lives together. I believe in working with an individual to help them solve their own problems while giving them the space to be themselves and find their own path forward. I use a variety of modalities including a trauma-informed cognitive behavioral approach (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and person-centered interventions. I have specialized training in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). I am experienced in helping children, teens, and adults with issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicidal ideation, sexual offending and addictions, and other mental health concerns.
