Family Therapy Associates, LLC now offers comprehensive telepsychiatry and psychiatric medication management services as part of our specialty mental health programs. We are excited to partner with Dr. Himanshu Agrawal, MD, DF-APA to offer psychiatric and medication management services.
Dr. Agrawal believes in shared decision-making and the Biopsychosocial model of care, recognizing that mental health is influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors. Treatment recommendations may include therapy, lifestyle changes, coping strategies, community support, medication, or a combination of approaches. Our telepsychiatry approach is collaborative, respectful, and individualized. Medication is never forced or pressured. Instead, appointments focus on understanding your concerns, exploring treatment options, and creating a plan together. What you can expect at your telepsychiatry appointment:
In Dr. Agrawal’s words, you are the expert on your own life. His role is to partner with you—bringing clinical expertise while respecting your preferences, pace, and priorities—so that together, you can build a plan that truly works. |
A Collaborative, Patient-Centered Approach to Medication
Dr. Himanshu Agrawal approaches psychiatric care with a simple but powerful philosophy: treatment should support the person—not just the diagnosis. Rather than focusing on “fixing” a label, care is centered on helping each individual return to what matters most in their life—whether that’s succeeding in school or work, strengthening relationships, or rediscovering joy in everyday experiences. Medication, when considered, is approached as one of many tools—not the starting point or the only solution. Dr. Agrawal works collaboratively with each client, much like a trusted advisor: offering expert guidance, clearly explaining options, and helping you weigh the benefits and trade-offs so you can make informed decisions that feel right for you. |

Himanshu Agrawal, MD, DF-APA Pediatric & General (Adult) Psychiatrist I am a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a board-certified psychiatrist in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. I bring extensive experience as a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist, allowing me to look beyond diagnoses and focus on the whole person. My approach is simple: I work with you to understand what’s getting in the way of your life—and help you move forward. Treatment is always collaborative and tailored to your goals, and may or may not include medication. For children, I provide thoughtful, developmentally informed care to support emotional growth, reduce behavioral challenges, and build resilience early in life. For adolescents, I help teens navigate the complexities of growing up—whether that’s anxiety, mood changes, identity, or relationships—while supporting both independence and stability. For adults, I offer personalized, evidence-based care focused on improving day-to-day functioning, relationships, and overall well-being. My goal is not just to treat symptoms, but to help you (or your child) feel better, function better, and move forward with confidence. Himanshu Agrawal, MD, DF-APA
