I am passionate about meeting the needs and wants of clients with a person-centered approach in order to reach their goals and ultimately improve their quality of life. By sharing thoughts, feelings, and meaningful life goals, I strive to empower individuals by assisting in nurturing their strengths and creating positive relaxation and coping skills to better their life. Some interests include meaning making with everyday activities (sports, relaxation, mindfulness), acceptance and commitment, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, women's health, grief and loss. I am also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am currently working on my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). |

Arianna Gerrits, MA, LPC-IT
Area of Focus: Adults (18+), Couples Therapy, Trauma, Grief & Loss I strive to ensure that my clients feel important and safe and support them in using their experiences to feel empowered in all aspects of life. I work from a holistic framework and believe in healing the mind, body, and soul collectively. I utilize a person-centered and trauma informed focus, meeting each individual where they are in their own healing process. I believe that incorporating mindfulness and healthy lifestyle practices into therapy can be beneficial and have a profound impact on mental health. I am trained in DBT and incorporate CBT and Internal Family Systems Theory into my practice. I have experience working with adults and adolescents navigating trauma and abuse, PTSD, depression, self-esteem issues and substance use concerns. I also have an interest in working with individuals who are dealing with grief and loss, postpartum and perinatal depression, couples therapy, mood regulation issues, as well as clients with criminal behaviors and backgrounds. Doctoral Practicum Student Area of Focus: Psychological Testing (ages 6+) and Therapy (ages 13+) I am experienced in assisting adolescents and adults who may be dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is solution focused with an individual’s strengths in mind to promote overall health and well-being. My goal in therapy is to help individuals feel comfortable to share their life experiences openly and make personal positive changes. I aim to support individuals in finding direction during life transitions and identify healthy coping skills to manage stress. I provide psychological testing for individuals aged 6 and up to help clarify diagnosis and guide treatment. The testing and assessment services I provide may be appropriate for individual's seeking clarification regarding issues related to attention (ADHD), mood, and/or personality disorders.
